WHAT IF VIJAY SETHUPATHY WAS LORD KRISHNA?

I have not intended to troll either Lord Krishna or Vijay Sethupathy in my blog here. Read completely for clarity.

Hinduism has been the worldly religion and has its huge base in India that possesses worship of different Gods and gives freedom for polytheism. Ancient literatures, poems, stories, scriptures, historical sites, mythological evidences holds evidence for this religion. I do not aim to accentuate it’s age old history here. Of all the Gods worshipped in Hinduism, the most popular one is Lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna is said to be born as the eighth son to his mother Devaki in a place called Brindhavan and is considered to be a noble scion of the illustrious Yadava dynasty. His birthday is celebrated as an occasion that emphasises his childhood and early youth and there are umpteen number of stories about him, the most popularised being the War of Kurukshetra that was between the Pandavas and Gauravas and has lengthy verses in Bhagavad Gita.

The information mentioned below was retrieved out of an article from the book “Hindu Gods and Goddesses” by Sri Swami Sivananda,

Krishna was a man of action. He was a history-maker and righter of wrongs. He stood for justice and righteousness. His policy was to defend the oppressed from the oppressor.

Lord Krishna was the greatest Karma Yogi of all time. He held up the torch of wisdom. He was an embodiment of wisdom and selfless action.

He was all love for the cowherd boys, cows and Gopis. He was the friend and benefactor of the poor and the helpless. He was extremely kind and merciful towards the meek and the humble.

Krishna was the thunderbolt to the wrestlers assembled in the arena of Kamsa and yet, He had the softest heart among men. He was Yama unto Kamsa, a Cupid unto Gopis, the object of constant meditation for Yogins and devotees, the form of Bliss and Beatitude to the sages, and a child to His parents. He was Cupid unto Cupid himself.

So our hero Krishna here is like the Jack of all trades and he is like the exact synonym to the word “HERO” that which character is similarly depicted in many of the Vijay sethupathy movies. Let me to outline it before you ask me why.

Vijay sethupathy has always been someone who knows what he wants in any kind of roles he has played so far. He knows what to do when a group of goons comes and attacks his family, he knows how to humiliate his own family if they do not act morally to the people of the village, he knows and is courageous to openly accuse a power driven uneducated and unfit politician in front of a live programme in a news channel, he knows how to plot a killing or a murder scene to woo his girlfriend who wishes to kill a man who murdered her father.

Now this is his face in the movies he does.

There are many instances to show or talk about Lord Krishna and his heroisms through the fictional stories, hymns, poems, songs and so on from our ancestors. I would like to recall one of them here which I heard it from my dad and my immediate reaction was by asking him how could this be possible. Let me share with you what that story was below.

Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan hill with his left hand to protect the people when it was flooding and everyone in the village including the animals took shelter in it. The act seems to be groundless but the message the act tries to convey makes sense because that particular hill lifting was to insinuate the significance of Dharma and nothing else.

Alright, the context of this is to convey that when we refer to someone as a hero we never envisage to inquest the logic behind how one person can do all these things and therefore we tend to simply enjoy the show and go with the flow. Most of the movies that are coming up in the near future has just handful of stories that portrays with reality and the general audience do not find it difficult to enjoy same story with their own favourite casts starring in it. This case is similar to these fictional heroes and stories in different kinds of religion too, be it Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism and so on. The ultimate aim and motive behind all these has to be learnt that can be applied in our lives instead of poking fun at it or debating on it and making it a controversy. Despite that it has always been obscure to comprehend for our radical netizens and other liberal poraalis who could not stand to and which is why they strive to abuse each and everything parallel to this and end up letting those who hold beliefs in it to bother.

Now VJS fans please don’t try to accuse me for not correlating his other movies because honestly I haven’t watched those apart from the ones I have listed.
