I am writing this in tanglish, a language that combines both Tamil and English for easy understanding. Udai le enna irukku?   ஒரு சிறந்த திரைப்படத்தில் நடிப்பவர்களை மட்டுமே நாம் கொண்டாடுகிறோம், அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு திரைப்படத்தை உருவாக்கக் காரணமான இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் பிற தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்களுக்கு இதுபோன்ற கவனம் செலுத்த மாட்டோம். சில வேலைகளை தலைசிறந்த படைப்பாக மாற்றுவதற்கு பொறுப்பான ஒவ்வொருவரின் ஒருங்கிணைந்த பங்களிப்பை நாம் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.  அதுபோல, தான் இயக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு படத்திலும் என்னை பிரமிக்க வைக்கும் இயக்குனர் வெற்றிமாறன். என் வாழ்க்கையில் சந்திக்க வேண்டிய நபர்களின் பட்டியலில் இவர் ஒருவர்.  அவர் தனது தொடரை முடித்த விதம் எனக்குப் பிடித்திருந்தது, வெற்றியை ருசித்த எந்த ஒரு நபரும் கொண்டாடப்பட வேண்டிய இரு குறிப்பிட்ட குணத்தை கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் - அது பெருமை பேசாத குணம், மற்றொன்று யாரையாவது ஏதாவது செய்ய வற்புறுத்தாதது. எனது முழு நாளையும் அவருடைய எழுத்துக்களைப் படிப்பதற்காகச் செலவிட்டதில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன்.நான் இதை எழுதும்போது என் கண்கள் இப்போது வலிக்கிறது, ஆனாலும் அது மதிப்புக்குரியது. இவை அனைத்தும் மதிப்புக்குரியது என்று நான் கூறுவதற்குக் காரணம், அதிலிருந்து நான் கற்றுக்கொண்...

  உணர்ச்சிகள்   இந்த   உலகில்   முக்கியமாக   பயன்படுத்தப்படும்   சக்திவாய்ந்த   கருவிகள்   அல்லது   ஆயுதங்கள் .   நம் வாழ்வில் நாம் அனுபவிக்கும் அனைத்தும் நம் உணர்ச்சிகளின் பதில்கள் மட்டுமே. ஒரு போரைத் தூண்டுவதற்கு, ஒரு நபருக்கு ஏதாவது வழங்குவதற்கு, ஒரு நபரை மாற்றுவதற்கு - அதை நன்கு அறிந்த தனிநபர்களின் விருப்பங்கள் மற்றும் கற்பனைகளால் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. சாதி, நிறம், இனம், மதம், சமூக அந்தஸ்து, அதிகாரம், பாலினம் - எல்லா இடங்களிலும் ஒருவரை அடக்கி ஒடுக்குவது. உணர்ச்சித் தூண்டுதலின் தாக்கத்தால் நமது மனித மூளை எவ்வளவு விரைவாக முடிவுகளை எடுக்கிறது? ஒரு   மகனின்   கோபம்   அவனுடைய   தந்தையின்   விரக்தியான   வார்த்தைகளால்   தூண்டப்படுகிறது ,   அவனைப்   போலவே   அவனும்   சமமான   பாராட்டுகளைப்   பெறுவதற்காக   அவன்   முன்னேறுகிறான் ;   அவனுடைய/ அவளுடைய   தாயின்   கண்ணியம்   சம்பந்தப்பட்ட   ஒரு   வார்த்தை   தூண்டுதலால் ...

                                      Although I am frustrated and stressed out and could not even bare to open my eyes to write this, here I am writing this with incessant zeal to express my feelings after I read a book that costed just 50 bucks from a book expo. It is a Tamil book "Kasturba - Mahatmavin manaivi ezhuppum kaelvigal". With the title of the book itself we can understand that the content will not be that harsher yet touches upon the intention of this book to elucidate the perspectives of a bold yet moody women, Kasturba.  Married at a very awkwardly young age, Kasturba was literally owned by Mr. Karamchand Gandhi as a result of the teachings of his community during those times, patriarchy though! History is to be learnt, relearnt and unlearnt as there is not just one way to decipher it and yet we keep repeating the same facts that we are aware of. The truth is not all of us are inclined to learn more historical informations and even if we do, we do not try to attempt to look it in a different perspective and go by the common and accepted way. This is why we often get reminded only of Mahatma Gandhi when we think about freedom struggle more than other unsung heroes of this very day, August 15th. But it is very logical and mature of us to learn that not all those who fought for the freedom were only heroes, they did what they felt is right at that time and it might not be the same to all of us. In short, you may like and support Gandhiji for his adherence to non violence because you may think that not being impulsive can give you the result that you have aimed for, I might like Netaji for his brave efforts to take the freedom in his own ways if it is denied from us because I may ...

Power is always ulimate, but what if it fails to be directional for upsurging a remarkable change in the society? Power acts as the medium to conduct certain proceedings in the State and it is only gained procedurally thus being subjected to hold authority over the matters of utmost importance. The goal of the Power holders should rather be concentrated towards the rehabilitation of the wrong-doers and their lives cannot be taken for granted eliminating the will and invading their right to live with dignity even if it is overruled. Punishments for brutal mistakes made are fair but in what way can capital punishments hold responsibility to rehabilitate an individual who have committed the crime irrespective of his remorse towards it? I am pretty aware that not all criminals are born and those who have sinned plead guilty for another chance whole heartedly and even if so does it be fair for the victim, but what has the other citizens who have been the audience to these kinds of punishmen...
